Move With Me Action Adventures Yoga DVDs and Flash Cards Review!

Looking for a fun way to get your kiddos to not only enjoy exercise but manage their emotions too? I was and I found it with Movement Story/Kids Yoga DVDs! I have learned how important it is to take care of myself with tools like yoga that implement relaxation, progressive breathing, and can reduce stress levels. Why not bring my kiddo along for the ride to! If it helps me, why not my kiddo too?

That’s why I was so pleased to be introduced to the Move with Me Action Adventures DVD series for children. I was sent their Scooter & Me "Heart Series" DVD set to review with my daughter. The Scooter & Me DVD series combines exercise with simple yoga moves that are geared towards children ages 3 to 7. The routines are led by teacher Wendy who instructs a handful of children. This is so much fun for kids to see other kids engaging in each routine. That's what hooked my daughter! Seeing the children interact with Wendy and having loads of fun doing so, drew my daughter right in. First Wendy displays the movement and the children follow her lead. Getting my daughter to be interested and follow lead from others is quite a task. Not only for her age of 4 but she also has Autism causing many difficulties for her. When I can find something so awesome that she actually engages in, it's a huge blessing. Knowing that my daughter loves it lets me know many other children are sure to also. Not only that, the calming presence yoga already impliments bring a greater strength to "Move with Me Action Adventures Yoga". I don't know about you but I sure do like a calm kiddo. Finding a way to handle their emotions is a process that each child learns on their own at their own pace. This DVD series helps implement just that. But what's it really all about?
“Scooter” is a boy who travels the world on adventures, learning about life and developing tools for healthy minds. The story is “acted” out by the teacher and children follow her lead. Children watching are encouraged to join in. Along Scooter’s “adventures,” he encounters some issues that many children face. Something may not happen quite the way he intended but Scooter and the children learn “adventure skills,” helping them to relax and connect with inner strength when they’re frustrated, confused, angry, sad, or scared. I can see why this is an award-winning series. Life can be overwhelming and stressful, but the Move with Me Action Adventure series helps empower kids with skills to care for themselves. In the process, they can learn increased self-control, focus, and more. I highly recommend this DVD series for everyone!

  1. This sounds like an excellent investment for anyone with children. My Mom (who will be 91 in November) has been doing Yoga for YEARS and is in great shape-she still does do it but in a more relaxed manner!

  2. I love interactive games especially when the whole family can get involved. Even though my kids can't read yet, they can follow the picture directions. I too can see why this is award winning, thanks for sharing.

  3. I love the idea of children doing yoga like this. I wish we could also do this during our times.
